Refunds

How refunds work for event tickets and for song-request boosts.
Who refunds a ticket
Each event is run by its organiser, and it's the organiser who refunds ticket orders, from their GigSay console. There's no button for buyers to refund themselves.
To ask for a refund, contact the event's organiser (their name is on the event page), or email us at support@gigsay.com with the email you ordered with and the event name.
- A refund covers the whole order, not single tickets from it.
- A refund usually isn't possible once a ticket on the order has been scanned at the door.
How much you get back
- If the organiser refunds your order while the event is still going ahead, you get back what you paid except the service fee, which is non-refundable. If keeping the fee would leave you with less than half of what you paid (after a discount code, say), you get it all back.
- If the event is cancelled, you get everything back, service fee included.
When an event is cancelled
When an event is cancelled, its organiser refunds every order in full from their console. It doesn't happen the moment the event is cancelled: the organiser has to issue it. If you haven't had a refund email after a cancellation, contact the organiser or us.
After a refund
- We email you when the refund goes through, with the amount refunded.
- Your tickets for that order stop working at the door straight away.
- The money goes back to the card you paid with. It typically takes 5–10 business days to show, depending on your bank.
Song-request boosts
- Requesting a song is free. A boost is an optional tip that moves your request up the queue.
- When you boost, your card is authorised for the amount, but not charged yet.
- You're charged only if the DJ accepts your request.
- If your request is rejected, or the set ends before it's accepted, you aren't charged and the hold is released. A hold that isn't released straight away lapses by itself within about a week.
- A boost doesn't guarantee the song gets played. If a DJ accepts a boosted request and doesn't play it, they can refund the boost in full from their console. Ask them, or contact us.
